2019 Estimate of Giving

Happy Birthday to you! Yes, you! You are a vital member of this church that is celebrating our 130th year as a congregation and the 100th year of our sanctuary this year. It is an exciting time in the life of Grace as we reflect on the last century of ministry and dream forward to God’s mission for us in the next 100 years. The question we are asking as we reflect on Grace during worship this month comes from Ezekiel 37’s Valley of the Dry Bones story: Can These Bones Live? Will our building be around for another 100 years? Will the Grace congregation?

Of course, God is the one who holds those answers, but the way we follow Jesus every day paves the way toward that future. Our membership vows call us to support Grace with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness as we live out God’s mission for us of welcoming ALL to grow in grace together and to share God’s love on campus, in our community, and in our world. These bones come alive as we do this work for Christ!

Your financial generosity helps us fulfill this important work. Without your gifts we couldn’t breathe life into this building and congregation in all the ways we have been called by God to do—things like housing the Winfield Food Pantry, teaching kids to memorize scripture, helping people in poverty through Circles Cowley County, equipping and sending college students out into the world, or transforming Winfield one neighborhood at a time as we hold one another accountable to love our neighbors. We are excited about where the church is heading, because of the way God is at work in people like you.

To keep this vital work happening, we invite you to prayerfully consider making a pledge for the 2019 year operating expenses and also a special gift to the Capital Reserve Fund to keep our building going for another 100 years! Please fill out this form as you feel led that will serve as your Pledge Card for 2019.
In response to God's love and as a concrete expression of my faith in and commitment to Christ and His Church, I plan to give in 2019:

General Fund

The General Fund includes everyday operating expenses including but not limited to education, worship, building usage, discipleship, missions, staff support, administration, and outreach. This is where the money in the offering plate goes each week.

Capital Reserve Fund

The Capital Reserve Fund is a separate fund above and beyond the regular operational expenses that ensures that we will not have to take on debt as a congregation should large building needs come forward. We encourage folks to consider making a special gift of any size to celebrate our 100th birthday of our sanctuary.
