We need your help choosing our first Sunday School topic! Bruce is prepared to lead the three optional studies described below. Rank them and let us know what sounds more interesting to you!

DECODING THE BOOK OF REVELATION: This book is the most confusing and misunderstood book in the Bible. This study will explore the world view of the author, the source of which was not Judaism but rather Persian Zoastrianism. We will explore the author's dualistic understand of supreme being (God and the Devil) over against monotheism (one God). We will decode the language of Revelation and discover the message of hope for Christians experiencing persecution.

UNDERSTANDING THE OLD TESTAMENT: This study will explore the Old Testament as the Library of the Jewish community of faith. We will review the message of each book in chronological order of the writing, not the order that is found in the Bible. We will discover how the preachers in the Hebrew community became the source of the teaching and preaching of Jesus.

GETTING JESUS' MESSAGE STRAIGHT: This study will explore the parables of Jesus. We will examine the parables of Jesus as stories with one message rather than allegories with many messages. We will discover the main themes of Jesus' teaching which emergy from the parables--straight from Jesus' stories.

College Sunday School will be a fun and challenging dialogue for college students at Grace United Methodist Church Sunday mornings at 9:30am. It is led by Bruce Blake, former president of SC and United Methodist Bishop. He is an awesome resource and mentor on the faith journey. Get excited!
